Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Wani is working as Assistant professor in the Department of Higher Education, JKUT. He received B.Sc. (2004) from Kashmir University, Srinagar; M.Sc. (2007) in Environmental Science from Jiwaji University, Gwalior - Madhya Pradesh; and PhD (2011) in Environmental Science from Jiwaji University, Gwalior - Madhya Pradesh. He started his career as Assistant Professor in Department of Environmental Science ITM University, Gwalior - India in 2011 and served there for more than 5 years. He is now working as Assistant Professor at Department of Environmental Science, Government Degree College, Thindim Kreeri - Kashmir and actively involved in teaching and research activities. He has more than 13 years of research experience. He has worked in the area of Environmental Monitoring, Occupational Health, Vermicomposting, and Environmental Impact Assessment. He has published 40 research papers in peer reviewed Journals, 6 edited and 2 authored books, 12 book chapters, more than 50 popular articles, and more than 50 conference abstracts. He has successfully guided five PhD students. He has worked as Principal Investigator in research projects sanctioned by Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology. He is a member of several national and international organizations and is on the editorial board of various journals. He has organized different programs on environmental awareness and field trips. He has also completed two projects of Indonesian Institute of Sciences, Indonesia.
