The Research and Incubation Cell organized an enlightening lecture on "Biological Disasters and Their Detrimental Impact on Human Health on November 19th, 2024." The primary aim of the program was to raise awareness among the audience about the numerous harmful effects of biological disasters on human health. Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Wani, Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science, gave a lucid presentation on the said theme. Dr. Wani's presentation covered a range of biological disasters, including infectious disease outbreaks, pandemics, and bioterrorism. He emphasized the importance of preparedness and early detection in mitigating the impact of these disasters. The audience learned about the various pathogens that can cause biological disasters, modes of transmission, and the preventive measures that can be taken to protect public health. Through his engaging presentation, Dr. Wani highlighted the critical actions individuals and communities should take to prevent and respond to biological disasters.
