As part of weeklong International Women ‘s Day Celebrations on  10th March, 2025, Government Degree College Thindim Kreeri organized an essay and painting competition on "The challenges and opportunities of modern women". A large number of students from various semesters participated in the event. Students showcased deep and thoughtful reflections on the difficult challenges and myriad opportunities faced by women globally, particularly Kashmiri Women. Seerat zahoor, Mehfooza akther and Zeenat Aman bagged I, II, III Prize respectively in Essay competition and Snober Zahoor, Sumaya Akther, Ruqaya Jan bagged I, II, III Prize respectively in Painting competition. The program was coordinated by Prof. Muhammed Yaqoob and Dr. Ajaz Ahmed under the supervision of Worthy Principal, Prof. Kowsar Jan Peerzada.
