In series of events organized by the college under SVEEP initiative of the Election Commission of India, SVEEP Unit of GDC Thindim Kreeri in Collaboration with NSS Unit organized pink polling campaign in the Election room of the college under the guidance of Worthy Principal, Prof. Kowsar Jan on 10^th May, 2024 with the aim to initiate commitment towards gender equality and greater constructive participation of women in the electoral process. The Programme started with the enlightening lecture of the Worthy Principal wherein she elucidated the students about the aim and significance of pink polling booths. Later on, a ‘mock drill-cum-area domination exercise’ was conducted in the election room of the college which was led by Principal Madam. The first vote was exercised by the Principal Madam and followed by the female voters of this College. A dummy of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) was installed in the room and the polling officers duties were assigned to the female students of the college. Students also clicked selfies in the pink selfie booths for uploading on different social networking platforms.   All the female students participated in the event with great enthusiasm. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Rouf Ahmad Bhat and Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Wani.
