In alignment with the national Fit India Movement, the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of GDC Thindim Kreri hosted a series of yoga sessions on 25th March 2025. These sessions aimed at promoting physical health, mental well-being, and overall fitness among students and faculty members. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Syed Mustafa Shah and Dr. Javid Ahmad Bhat, who ensured the smooth execution of the day’s activities. The event began with an introductory address by the coordinators, highlighting the importance of yoga as a time-tested practice for maintaining physical and mental equilibrium. The coordinators guided the participants through a range of asanas, pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation practices. The attendees showed great enthusiasm, actively participated in the sessions and engaged with the benefits of each technique. The serene atmosphere and collective energy during the event were truly uplifting, providing a rejuvenating experience to all involved.
