GDC Thindim Kreeri in collaboration with Govt Agriculture Production Department Kreeri, organized a one-day orientation Program at Agriculture Office Kreeri. A contingent of 50 students was deputed to attend one-day orientation program on 11^th December, 2023. The event aimed at creating awareness among the students about various self-employment schemes financed by Govt and sponsored by Department of Agriculture and Horticulture. The students were escorted by Prof. Mohd Yaqoob (Assistant Professor, English) under the supervision of Worthy Principal Prof. Kowsar Jan Peerzada. The Principal advised students to orient themselves with the opportunities and employability in agriculture sector. Dr. Mohamed Yaqoob, AEO Kreeri, gave a strong motivational speech and focused on the avenues available in the agriculture sector. Dr. Feroze Ahmed (SKAUST) emphasized on the need for students to be self-reliant and job providers than job seekers. Dr. Basharat Ahmad HDO, KREERI deliberated on the importance of different Govt financed schemes including those sponsored by the Agriculture and Horticulture Department. Javid Ahmed, BDC, presented the vote of thanks and thanked the participants and the organizers for making the event successful.
