As part of the celebration of Vigilance Awareness Week (28^th October 2024 to 3^rd November 2024), Department of Political Science of Government Degree College Thindim Kreeri organized an essay competition on Vigilance and Anti-Corruption on 2^nd November 2024. The event was organized under the leadership of the Worthy Principal Prof. Kowsar Jan. About fifty students of the college participated in the event and wrote essays on the importance of vigilance and the menace of corruption in the society. The students delved deep into the cancerous nature of corruption in its every form and highlighted the significance of the vigilant citizenry as well as strong government machinery in curbing this menace. After impartial evaluation by the faculty members of the college, Asmat Ahad of 3^rd Semester emerged as the winner. Nighat Nabi of 5^th Semester secured the second positon, while as Zeenat Aman of 1^st Semester secured the third position. The essay competition was invigilated and monitored by Dr. Zahid Hussain
