On 11th February 2025, Government Degree College Thindim Kreeri celebrated Safer Internet Day under the theme “Together for a Better Internet” through online mode. The event featured a quiz competition designed to assess and enhance students' understanding of safe and responsible internet practices. The questionnaire, carefully curated, aimed to educate participants on critical aspects of online safety, such as identifying phishing attempts, creating strong passwords, understanding digital citizenship, and combating cyberbullying. The programme saw enthusiastic participation from over 100 students representing various colleges across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, reflecting widespread interest in promoting digital safety. Suhaib Fayaz Mir from Altaf Memorial Degree College Kilam secured the First Position, followed by Musrat Jahinger from Altaf Memorial Degree College Kilam and Nimrah Nisar from GDC Thindim Kreeri, who won the Second and Third Positions, respectively. The programme was a significant step towards empowering students with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
