Today on 26th June 2024 under the patronage of Worthy Principal Prof. Kowsar Jan, NSS unit of GDC Thindim Kreeri in collaboration with District Police Baramulla observed the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with a series of motivational programs. The activities aimed to raise awareness about the dangers and consequences of drug abuse with a focus on community involvement and education. The program started with drug awareness rally which commenced from college and proceeded to the local Kreeri market through residential colonies with participants carrying placards and banners conveying messages related to the theme for creating general awareness to the public regarding evil effects of the drugs in the society. The students were accompanied by various officials of police department, the NSS program officer (Dr. Syed Mustafa) and other faculty members of the college. On this occasion a painting competition was also held in which 20 students of the college and adjacent Girls High School participated. Aahana Ashraf of Girls High School Kreeri Bagged first Prize and Shahista Hassan and Muzamil Javid of BG 4th Semester Bagged the Second and Third Prize, respectively. The winners were felicitated with Mementos and certificates by the Worthy Principal and Police Officials. The Program concluded with vote of thanks present by Prof. Syed Mustafa Shah.
