The NSS unit of GDC Thindim Kreeri organized a comprehensive Swachta Abiyan drive on 17th December 2024 under the able supervision of Prof. Kounsar Jan. The initiative aimed to promote cleanliness and raise awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean environment. Under the supervision of Dr. Syed Mustafa Shah, NSS volunteers actively participated in the clean-up drive, which included collecting polythene bags and other non-biodegradable waste from various locations within and outside the college premises and properly disposing of the collected waste to ensure it did not pose any environmental hazards. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, who were equipped with gloves, garbage bags, and other necessary tools to ensure the effective collection and disposal of waste. The drive significantly improved the cleanliness of the college campus and its surroundings, instilling a sense of responsibility and awareness among students regarding the importance of maintaining a clean environment. This initiative demonstrated the collective effort of the college community in contributing towards a cleaner and healthier environment. The college remains committed to organizing similar initiatives in the future to sustain the momentum and promote a culture of cleanliness and responsibility.
