The Election Literacy Club of the college, under the leadership of the esteemed Principal Prof. Kowsar Jan, organized an essay competition on the topic of elections to the Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir on August 27, 2024. The essay competition aimed to engage students in thoughtful reflection on the role of elections in shaping democratic governance. Participants were required to write essays discussing the importance of elections in maintaining democratic integrity and promoting civic participation. Students from the college participated by writing essays on the significance of elections in a democracy. Following an impartial evaluation by the faculty members, Momin Fayaz, Awleena Manzoor, and Aakash Manzoor secured the first, second, and third positions, respectively. The essay competition was coordinated by Dr. Zahid Hussain.
