In continuation with series of events conducted under the aegis of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Government of India, today on 10^th July 2023, the NSS wing of Government Degree College Thindim Kreeri organized a Pledge ceremony in the college campus, which was attended by all the students and faculty members of the college. On this occasion, Principal Prof. Kounsar Jan oriented the students about harmful effects of drugs for individual and social life. She discussed in detail the health hazards, impact of psychoactive drugs such as alcohol, cannabis, stimulants, and opioids. All the participants promised to stay away from drugs and will make efforts to make Jammu & Kashmir a drug free Union Territory. The pledge was read out by Prof. Yaqoob (Convener, Debates and Seminar Committee) and the programme was organized by Prof. Syed Mustafa Shah (NSS Programme officer).
