Under the aegis of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations today on 14^th September, 2023 Govt Degree College Thindim Kreeri in collaboration with Department of Community Medicine GMC Baramulla conducted one-day awareness programme on communicable diseases with special focus on Eye Flu under the supervision of worthy Principal, Prof. Kowser Jan. The program was inaugurated by the Worthy Principal who formally welcomed the guest speakers. On this occasion Worthy Principal highlighted the significance of organizing such programs in the college for enlightening the students on health issues. The invited guest speakers were Dr. Najmul Ain, Assistant Professor Department of Community Medicine GMC Baramulla and Dr. Asma Aftab, Senior Resident, Department of Community Medicine GMC Baramulla GMC Baramulla.  Dr. Najmul Ain delivered an awareness lecture on Communicable diseases and prevention. Dr. Asma Aftab spoke on Eye Flu, its symptoms and prevention. Both the Invited speakers discussed various aspects of the issues, concerns and solutions of the respective topics and gave thoughtful and scientific lectures on the said topic. The lectures were followed by healthy interactive sessions with the students. The doctors satisfactorily answered all the queries.  Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Wani (Assistant Professor, Environmental Science) moderated the session and Dr. Syed Mustafa Shah (IQAC Coordinator) presented vote of thanks.
