Under the banner of SVEEP, Department of Political Science and NSS Unit of GDC Thindim Kreeri installed “Wall of Democracy” in the college for signature campaign on 19^th September 2024. The campaign started with the signature of Worthy Principal, Prof. Kowsar Jan who while speaking on the occasion highlighted the significance of   voter education in a democratic setup and emphasized the role of young voters in shaping the future of the country. The event aimed to sensitize the students about the value of their vote and encourage them to participate actively in the electoral process. The primary objective of the “Wall of Democracy” was to create a symbolic platform where students and community members could express their commitment to democratic principles by writing the slogans and marking their signature. Each signature on the wall represented a personal pledge to participate actively in the democratic process, emphasizing the importance of individual contributions to the collective democratic fabric of the nation. The Wall of Democracy is expected to remain a permanent fixture at the college, continually inspiring new batches of students to pledge their support for democracy. This ongoing commitment to democratic values will help to ensure that the principles of active citizenship and civic responsibility are passed down to future generations. Students and faculty members participated in the event with zeal and enthusiasm.
