NSS Unit of Government Degree College Thindim Kreeri  organized a webinar on the importance of girl Child on 5^th November, 2024 under the supervision of Worthy Principal Prof. Kowser Jan Peerzada.  All the faculty members, students and NSS Volunteers participated in the webinar. The seminar started with the inaugural speech of Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Wani (NSS Program Officer) who highlighted the basic objectives of this programme.  Dr Heena Qadir, Assistant Professor, GDC Awantipora was the Guest speaker who lucidly explained the change in status and role of female right from ancient period to modern context. In her speech she discussed in detail the significance and benefits of educating girls. She also talked about the various issues and problems faced by girls in present day society. She motivated the students to own responsibility to bring change in the condition of the females. Program concluded with voted of thanks extended by Prof. Syed Mustafa.
