The NSS Unit of Government Degree College Thindm Kreeri, in collaboration with the NCDCC Unit of Sub District Hospital Kreeri, organized a special event to celebrate World Health Day on 7th April 2025. The program aimed to raise awareness about health and wellness while providing essential medical services to students, and faculty members. The event was inaugurated by Worthy Principal Prof. Kounsar Jan and Medical Officer Dr. Ufaq Sumaira. Both dignitaries addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of preventive healthcare and routine medical checkups. They encouraged everyone to adopt healthy lifestyle practices and highlighted the role of education in promoting overall well-being. A variety of health-focused activities were conducted during the program, including free health checkups, blood testing, and a workshop on nutritious food preparation. Students and faculty members actively participated in the medical screenings, gaining valuable insights into their health status. Qualified medical professionals conducted thorough examinations and provided personalized health recommendations. To support the well-being of attendees, essential medicines were distributed among students and faculty members. This initiative ensured that individuals had access to necessary medical resources while also promoting awareness of proper medication usage. A workshop on preparing healthy foods was another highlight of the program. Experts demonstrated simple, nutritious recipes using locally available ingredients, inspiring participants to incorporate better eating habits into their daily lives. The program was coordinated by Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Wani and Dr. Zahid Hussain, whose efforts ensured the seamless execution of all activities.
