Department of Environmental Sciences of Govt. Degree College, Thindim Kreeri celebrated International Day for Biological Diversity 2023 under the aegis of G20 on 22^nd May, 2023. The program was conducted in the seminar room of the college and was attended by all the students and faculty of the college. Worthy Principal Prof. Kounsar Jan presented welcome address wherein she deliberated on the theme “From Agreement to Action: Build Back Biodiversity.” Later on Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Wani, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science delivered a lecture on the current status of Biodiversity and need for conservation. The lecture was followed by online quiz competition, Shabeena Akhter of I semester, Muzamil Mohidun, Adfra Farooq, Nasir Ahamd and Sumaiya Akhter of 2^nd semester shared the 2^nd prize. At the end of program a documentary “incredible biodiversity” was screened for the students.
