Today on 5^th June, 2023 the NSS unit and Department of Environmental Science of GDC Thindim Kreeri conducted series of events to celebrate “World Environment Day’ under the aegis of mission Lifestyle for the Environment. Morning session witnessed a series of outdoor activities. Programme started with Yoga session followed by plantation drive within campus. Campus cleaning was also taken up by NSS volunteers and some of the NSS volunteers also removed polythene from the nearby canals. In the afternoon session, various students and faculty members spoke on the various environmental issues. Speaking on the occasion Worthy Principal Prof. Kounsar Jan elaborated the cause of climate change, global warming, pollution and role of every individual in safeguarding our environment. The Programme concluded with felicitation of students who actively participated in the activities during the week.
