As part of the ongoing initiatives under the banner of the "Three New Criminal Laws," Government Degree College Thindim Kreeri, in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Police (Sub Division Kreeri), organized an awareness lecture on the newly enacted criminal laws—Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshaya—on 20^th  March 2025. The event was conducted under the supervision of Worthy Principal, Prof. Kounsar Jan and DySP Javid Ahmad (SDPO Kreeri). The session commenced with introductory remarks delivered by Dr. Khursheed Ahmad, who provided an overview of the newly renamed criminal laws and set the stage for the discussion. This was followed by an insightful and enlightening presentation by Dr. Zahid Hussain, Assistant Professor of Political Science. Using a detailed PowerPoint presentation, Dr. Hussain explained the key amendments and updates incorporated into these laws. He systematically highlighted their significance in fostering a more effective and equitable justice system for the betterment of society. Following Dr. Hussain's presentation, Prof. Syed Mustafa Shah shared his perspective on the practical implications and societal benefits of these legal reforms, further enriching the attendees' understanding of the subject. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks, presented by Prof. Mohammad Yaqoob, who expressed gratitude to the organizers, speakers, and participants for making the program a resounding success.
