On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, Government Degree College Thindim Kreeri organized an online quiz competition to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The event, held on October 2, 2024, was coordinated by Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Wani under the able guidance of Worthy Principal, Prof. Kowsar Jan. This event saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of students. Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Wani, the coordinator of the event, ensured smooth execution and active engagement from all participants. The quiz focused on the life, philosophy, and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi, aiming to instil his values of non-violence, truth, and simplicity among the students. The event was structured to explore the participants’ knowledge and encourage them to delve deeper into the history and teachings of the Father of the Nation. The competition was fierce, but three students emerged victorious: Muzamil Nazeer Ganie won the first prize, Toufeeeq Ahmad secured the second prize, and Asmat Ahad claimed the third prize. These students demonstrated exceptional knowledge and understanding of Mahatma Gandhi’s life and principles. The online quiz competition at GDC Thindim Kreeri was a resounding success, fostering a spirit of learning and reflection among the students. The event not only honored Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy but also encouraged the participants to embody his values in their daily lives.
