As part of Anti-Smoking Drive launched by Government Degree College Thindim Kreeri an awareness rally was conducted today on 20th November 2024. The initiative aimed to educate and sensitize students and the local community about the hazards associated with tobacco use and promote a healthier lifestyle. The rally commenced from the college campus and proceeded through the main areas of the town, attracting significant attention from the public. Students carried banners and placards with powerful messages highlighting the dangers of smoking, such as "Say No to Tobacco" and "Choose Health, Not Smoke". Enthusiastic participants chanted slogans to reinforce the campaign's message and distributed informative pamphlets to passersby. The event included impactful speeches from faculty members and health professionals who elaborated on the adverse effects of smoking on physical and mental health. The participation and enthusiasm of the students was commendable, reflecting their commitment to advocating for a healthier society. The rally not only raised awareness about the detrimental impacts of smoking but also inspired many to consider quitting the habit and adopting a healthier lifestyle. The event was meticulously coordinated by Prof. Syed Mustafa Shah and Dr. Zahid Hussain, along with the dedicated support of all faculty members.
