The Army Camp Watergam in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education organized a vibrant sports mela at GDC Thindim Kreeri today on 17^th of March, 2025. On this occasion various games were played by the students of different semesters. Among the games played, the Men’s Carom competition saw Faizan Rashid claiming the top spot with outstanding skill and focus. In the Women's Rope Skipping category, Snober Zahor demonstrated exceptional agility and emerged victorious. The Chess tournament was a showcase of strategic brilliance, with Mohammad Asif outmaneuvering his opponents to secure the win. Umar Farooq excelled in the Men’s Rope Skipping event, reflecting strength and stamina. Arifa Hamid triumphed in the Women’s Carom competition, exhibiting remarkable precision and technique. A highlight of the mela was the Tug of War competition held between the girls of Semester 2 and Semester 6. The match was a thrilling display of teamwork and determination, ultimately won by the Semester 6 students, who demonstrated superior coordination and resilience. The sports mela was a resounding success, highlighting the enthusiasm and talent of the participants while strengthening bonds within the community. It served as a platform for showcasing athletic prowess and encouraged a culture of healthy competition and physical fitness.
