An awareness cum training programme on natural disasters and the associated dos and don'ts was conducted in the seminar hall of the college o 26^th February 2024. The speakers, Dr. Khursheed Ahmad and Prof. Syed Mustafa, provided various insights on natural disasters. Dr. Wani emphasized the importance of preparedness and safety measures in the face of natural calamities such as earthquakes, floods, and cyclones. His engaging presentation highlighted the critical actions individuals should take before, during, and after a disaster to ensure their safety and minimize risks. All the students and staff members were provided with live demonstrations on disaster evacuation protocols by Dr. Syed Mustafa Shah and Dr. Wani. These practical demonstrations provided a clear understanding of how to respond effectively to different disaster scenarios. Participants learned how to create emergency kits, perform basic first aid, and follow evacuation protocols. The lecture was well-received by the attendees, who appreciated the valuable knowledge and practical skills imparted by Dr. Wani. The event successfully raised awareness and instilled a sense of responsibility and readiness among the students and staff, equipping them to handle potential natural disasters with confidence and competence.
