NSS Unit of GDC Thindim Kreei organized a series of events to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on 12th April 2025. The celebrations aimed to honor the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar, whose contributions to social justice, equality, and the Indian Constitution remain invaluable.
The event featured multiple activities designed to engage students and highlight the principles upheld by Dr. Ambedkar. A painting competition was held, where participants depicted themes related to social empowerment, justice, and Dr. Ambedkar's vision for an inclusive society. The creative works showcased the students' artistic abilities and deep understanding of his contributions.
In addition to the painting competition, a quiz competition was conducted to test participants' knowledge about Dr. Ambedkar’s life, achievements, and reforms. Students enthusiastically participated, answering questions related to his role in framing the Constitution, his advocacy for marginalized communities, and his intellectual contributions to social reform.
An essay competition was organized, allowing students to express their thoughts and perspectives on Dr. Ambedkar’s philosophy and its relevance in contemporary times. The participants eloquently wrote about various aspects of his life, emphasizing his fight for equality, education, and human rights. The competition provided a platform for intellectual reflection on his lasting impact on Indian society.
A pledge ceremony was also held to reaffirm the values championed by Dr. Ambedkar. Students and faculty members took an oath to uphold the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, which were central to his ideology. This solemn moment marked the participants' commitment to fostering an inclusive and fair society.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Zahid Hussain and Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Wani, under the esteemed guidance of Worthy Principal Prof. Kounsar Jan. Their leadership ensured the seamless execution of the events, encouraging maximum student participation and engagement. The celebrations successfully instilled a sense of respect and admiration for Dr. Ambedkar, inspiring students to continue working towards social harmony and justice.
